Looking forward to this weekend’s reading at Goethe Institut Lagos. It will probably be my first public reading from my forthcoming novel, The Extinction of Menai. Also look forward to hearing Onyinye Muomah, Terh Agbedeh, Chinelo Onwualu, and Zainabu Jello. If you have never seen Crown Troupe of Africa in performance, this is the weekend to bring yourself up to speed. I am particularly looking forward to seeing Victor Ehikhamenor, seeing that I am collecting on behalf of readers of his book, Excuse Me, who have complained of persistent pains in the ribs…

Compeer Unoma Adegoke will have her Lifehouse hands full… the organisers are expecting an audience of  ‘publishers, journalists, lovers of the Arts and interested guests’.

Thanks to host, Marc-André Schmachtel and his energetic team. & to Goethe as well: In 2012 I was hosted by Goethe Ghana (& Writers Project), Goethe Uganda (& Femrite), and Goethe Kenya (& Kwani/Moving Africa). It’s ‘home to roost’ in 2013…

See you Saturday if you can: Goethe @ City Hall, 30 Catholic Mission Street, Lagos Island. Entry free. Time is 2pm, if Derin Ajao has anything to do with it.
