I was in Ibadan University, reading from The Ghost of Sani Abacha, only last month, but the 7 hills beckon and I am back again, this time at The Book Club at NSIAC (the Nigeria Society for Information, Arts and Culture). The event is jointly organised by NSIAC, Laipo Reads and The Booksellers Bookshop, and will hold at 4pm on April 21, 2012 at the former British Council building on Magazine road, Jericho, Ibadan.
This time I will be reading from Diaries of a Dead African – because it is the book of the month for The Book Club. Of course, readings are totally unpredictable, aren’t they. Impossible to tell what will happen until the day… if my eclectic frame of mind continues, chances are pieces of One More Tale for the Road, and The Ghosts of Sani Abacha will turn up. And according to the Daily Times , so will Tosin Kolawole, who will be reading from his collection of short stories, The Book of M, and Adeoye Adekoya, a Life Coach who will be reading from his book, BrilliANTS. Taye will be presenting a dance from his vast repertoire.
Catch it if you can.
